But see, if you care about a character and want them to stand out on their own, why would you make them reuse an animation from another character? We see Hau bounce around excitedly a lot in both SM and USUM. It didn't take people long to realize it's the same animation.
No person moves the exact same way as another, even if they are similar in personalities. If they cared about Hop, they should've given him a unique animation like Marnie and Bede got.
Giving Hop Hau's original animation cheapens Hop as a character. It also doesn't help that Hop's desire to become a Champion because of his older family member Leon matches up with Hau wanting to become a kahuna because of his older family member Hala.
He really does feel like a lazy copy+paste of Hau and until they reveal more story we don't know how much Hop will do to differentiate himself from Hau.
