The leader is the heir to a royal family from another region. He left his native region in order to learn how to be a good king. The gym itself would pit you in double battles against gym trainers who use Pokemon with a type advantage over steel. Throughout this, you are partnered with a trainer who uses steel-type Pokemon. At the end, he reveals himself to be the gym leader and you have a proper battle against him. Upon victory, challengers are granted the TM for Metal Burst.
