>>46124286Yellow text with a blue outline is perfect. The contrast of primary colors stands out and works wonders as a means of sticking to your memories. Japan's titles, while vastly more imaginative, are random colors. For example, the Gen 1 color choices are bland as hell. Red version being purle with a light blue outline just feels wrong, Green version with purple and yellow is complementary yet too overpowering on the purple side, and Yellow is just a bland color combination. Blue at least toned the yellow down a bit, but the yellow-orange outline isn't that appealing.
Japan's logos keep changing too much. It's nice that they now copy the English style with the blue and yellow font, but man do their older logos just look bland. Not saying that the Western logo isn't bland, but in terms of memorability, the West wins by a landslide. Japan has the name, but definitely not a good logo. It's like how many western companies' logos are becoming less and less unique over time, like pic related. The brand is memorable, sure, but the logos keep changing and losing their flair. Pokemon in the West probably has the longest standing logo with the most minimal changes of any product. It's ALWAYS been that iconic yellow and blue text outside of Japan, and there's a reason it hasn't changed.
Western Pokemon is an example of a perfect logo. It doesn't need change, hence why it hasn't changed.
