Literally the only interesting thing about the Cyndaquil line is their fire. In fact, Cyndaquil wasn't even Fire type originally. Its beta sprite looked the same, except it was pink and had green spikes instead of fire. They literally took a random Pokemon, slapped some fire on it, and called it a starter.
