I didn't exactly go out of my way to avoid every single fight though.
Brock really requires Iron Claw and even then you probably want Potions too.
Bridge and S.S. Anne Rivals rely on Mega Punch and Mega Kick, and Squirtle/Wartortle is willing to use Withdraw to make it worse.
Misty is the same way as mentioned here
