As a forever journeyman in art, there's this concept of "Two cakes".
Meaning that sometimes you work alongside with some really awesome artists, guys who use like 200 layers for their casual work, when compared to you its like an ant to a titan. The ant sometimes looks at the cake of the titan and says "Oh wow, my cake means nothing next to the titans, I'd better not come with one."
The requester (most of the time) doesn't care about size or quality of your cake and says "Hot shit two cakes!".
Even if you feel that your work is unpresentable, keep on doing it if only to better yourself as an artist. Add it to your own portfolio and continue learning. The only way you get outfished is if you allow yourself to be outfished. :3
