>>22354754"Noivern, Roost! I need you at /MAX/ staying power!"
"Oiver!"
Noivern retreats back to the surface to roost and replenish his health, sacrificing his Flying-type in order to do so. This in turn however, removes some notable resistances from Noivern's type chart, giving Drasna's Noivern the leeway to do this.
"You left yourself open, sweetie! Focus Blast!~"
"Oiiive!"
Your eyes snap wide open and initiate a series of rough calculations in your head. Rough calculations that can only lead to one conclusion.
>'Hmmmmmmmmm. . . If my Noivern uses Roost, and Roost restores the user's health by up to half of its max health, but in turn removes Flying-type, then that would mean it would also lose the resistances that Flying-type grants for that single turn, meaning that Focus Blast, a move with one-hundred and twenty base power would--'You snap out of your fairly long and superfluous inner-mind rambling, "HOLY SHIT NOIVERN GET OUT OF THE WAY!"
"N-Noi!?"
>Noivern used Roost!>Noivern recovered HP!>Noivern used Focus Blast!"Noooooooiiiiiii!"
He takes the Focus Blast to the face and receives a harsh knockback. When he gets back up and regains Flying-type, all he sees is the opposite Noivern giving him a shiteating grin from across the field. It's like she's asking for it, but how are you supposed to deliver the goods when she's too fast?
