So Ash's type is girls with reddish long hair that behaves like Gary! No wonder Serena & every other girl failed since he never got acquired with any other girl with long reddish hair with a personality like Gary. The closest he ever come was Misty with hair extension and probably Bianca from the movie.

Lets see, Riko needs rivals like Giselle from OS and Carol from Gundam Build Fighter. A Champion ranked trainer like Nemona is too strong for Riko to believably defeat.

If we consider OS --> PM to be canon with the same Ash then that mean Ash is oblivious toward matters of romance but he is not immune from a girl's charm and can in fact develop crush on an attractive girl.

Question is, what kind of a girl can make Ash fall for her? So far only Giselle managed to do it.

Maybe Ash's goal in the next series is not to enter the Paldea league but to change the corrupt school system in his own way and becoming a 'Champion" rank trainer is something he has to do to change the system.
