Defensively, this set appreciates checks to Water- and Ice-types, such as Tangrowth and Mega Scizor. Since Landorus-T fails to outspeed boosted Volcarona and Mega Charizard X, defensive checks to those, notably including Toxapex and Tyranitar, make for good partners.
