If i wanted to share it with people i would probably have to post it on fangame sites, and i shouldn't tick off the fangame cartel on said sites. It wouldn't necessarily harm me or my game but there is no reason to create beef with fellow fangame bros. We are all passionate thieves, in the end.
I do think its a little whack when gamedevs try to take down other gamedevs, though
