This is Ankor the Cradily. He has a relaxed nature and is rather mischievous. He's max level, unoptomized, and I may have found him in a rock.
He's also been with me since I was 11 years old, 14 years ago on my GBA.
Through a series of data transferrals and, as Moon version puts it, "travelling through time and space", Ankor's fought by my side in every generation of Pokemon since Ruby version, and has the medals and contest ribbons to prove it. He migrated through my DS from Ruby to Pearl version (yes I got Pearl and not Diamond because Dialga looked and STILL looks utterly ridiculous to me, yes I'm aware that Palkia is basically strawberry-flavored Godzilla), I reclaimed him at the Transfer Lab in Black version, withdrew him from Pokemon bank into Y version and once again to get him into Moon. If I get Ultra Moon, he's probably gonna go through it again.
He's done battle in every league since Hoenn, he's won contests in every category that'd have him, and he even fought in the Orre region through a GBA/Gamecube cable in Pokemon Colosseum.
Today, I'm going to take this little guy (seriously he's 5 feet tall and weighs 60 kilograms) and the rest of my old Ruby team, and I'm gonna beat the Pokemon League with him again, like I do every generation. The fact that I can do that, play a game from the current era using a monster I raised before I was in highschool, is amazing to me. It even lists his original trainer still, my nickname from my old neighborhood.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna feed Ankor a bean and pat him on the belly where he likes it.
(And yeah that's a stir stick, I lost my stylus)
Any stories like this, /vp/? Don't bother ragging on me for still buying the games, I'm fully aware that Showdown exists.
