What I meant is that in a game, water-pokemon just float on land, but that logic falls apart in a more "realistic" story. Even in pokemon anime, fish mon are either in water or flop around land. It's sorta strange how selective we are about what's "real" or not since it's not like pokemon are real. But if water-type could float, then it would raise more unanswered questions I suppose. Such as why they even live in water, or if they could fly. There has to be some kind of consequential logic even in the imaginary rules we make.
