I'm honestly really sad. I love Pokemon, I always have, and I'll always be drawn to it. Even as I've grown older and other passions in my life have burned out or fallen behind as I get busy with uni and work and life in general, I've always been attached enough to at least care about what goes on. But despite buying USUM on launch I still haven't played it, wasn't interested in LGPE, and I am genuinely not purchasing SS. It feels heartbreaking to say goodbye to my favorite series like this, but as other games have innovated and reinvented themselves to make better and better games, this series has somehow taken the opportunity to get worse. Pokemon will always be fun because it's Pokemon, but that's no longer enough to make me spend my own money and time on it when I have plenty of other games to play that are fun because they're actually good, not just because they're part of a series I used to be so dedicated to. I hate that I still love this series, because I get hurt time and time again. I guess it's finally time to move on.
