>>53365758Genuinely a really good game. I've played every gen on release, exploring Paldea was one of the most magical experiences since the switch to 3D. I really appreciate being able to see all encounters, spot shinies from outside battle, the dynamic music and different wild encounter themes per zone, it's great. Interacting with the whole party is pretty transformative. The performance is bad, but it's still better than gen 4's performance. Also, Garganacl is one of the sickest designs in the whole franchise, basically a cooler Golurk. Also also, the implementation of "Delta Species" through Tera.
Overall, I'd say it's definitely better than gen 2, 4, 5 and 8 with potential to move up as DLC hits.
