Black 2 and White 2, in my opinion, is the epitome of Pokemon games that "still feel a lot like Pokemon" despite some disgusting designs and horrible E4 music that sounded like fucking dubstep.
Followed by HGSS. They made all the right choices when creating those remakes. All the fun from the original, added content from Crystal, fixing what GBC cannot do (Viridian Forest, Safari Zone, etc.).
ORAS failed to meet that same expectation. No content from Emerald came through. New content feels boring and rushed. It's like teasing. New area but you can only go through to the 2nd floor, for example.
XY and SM are experimental games, USUM and LGPE are blatant shameless cashgrabs.
I cannot blame you or anyone that wants those games, because at the end of the day it's your money and it's your choices, BUT I can say this:
You are fueling GAMEFREAK and implying that they can produce mediocre games that are meant to make money instead of pleasing the fanbase. Live with the fact that people like YOU are one of the reasons Pokémon games' quality is stagnated, or worse, declining.
