>>55007685Vanilla Samurott is kinda awkward. It doesn't have much speed. It's bulk is alright, but doesn't get any healing or support to make use of it. It has both nice attack and special attack, but nothing outstanding. Sort of a middle of the road starter that leaves it behind a good portion of regular water types and especially overshadowed by it's Hisuian counterpart. Giving it sharpness
>>55008918 is nice but only helps it get overshadowed.
Quick Draw- While the model makes it hard to imagine it being fast, it's dex entry says that it can draw it's seamitars in the time it takes the foe to blink, so it makes sense. It's only been seen on Galarian Slowbro, who prefers Regenerator most of the time, but with a quick claw it moves first 44% of the time, a pretty good ability.
Intimidate- This is the other ability you could get from it's dex entries. Not a particularly interesting ability, but very few users of it can be good special attackers (don't care about opposing intimidate). If it got doubles support moves, then it could be an anti meta pick to Incineroar in VGC.
Anger Shell- It looks kinda angry. It has a major importance on having a shell yet doesn't get shell smash. While it would have a lot of competition being a shell smash water type (probably one of the better ones due to it's stats), this gives it more moveslots. Klawf actually doesn't care about getting the special attack boost, but since Samurott has mixed attacker stats it can make use of it better.
Supreme Overlord- This one is a stretch, but seeing as the only other samurai-based pokemon gets it, maybe it's not a big one? It obviously doesn't have the annoying mindgames of Sucker Punch, but other than that it gets hydro pump for more bp (S.O. boosts move base power not attack stat) and is faster, while still retaining ok-ish priority in aqua jet.
