Just finished a Blue run on 3DS, first time I have played Gen 1 since 1999 and I had a blast which I was kinda surprised by to be honest. Made an effort to use Pokemon I really like but had never used and also some I never even considered like Dodrio and Pinsir which have shot up in my rankings now.
Pinsir especially, at first I was disappointed that he had zero STAB moves in Gen 1 which I only realised after adding him to the crew. But he turned out to be an absolute wrecking machine anyway, can't wait to PokeBank them over to Gen 7. I liked Hypno more as a Drowzee though if I'm honest, still a cool guy though.
Blastoise was Tetsudin
Nidoqueen was Andoral
Hypno was Slumbers
Ninetales was Cinder
Dodrio was Jetstream
Pinsir was Gorebine
They served well and were true bros. Anyone else had a good experience with a run recently? New favourites?
