The graphical style. SM was probably the one time Game Freak really nailed the visuals, down to the UI. The games are just very pleasing to look at, which makes me all the more sad that actually playing through them was a fucking miserable experience.

I'd bet money it's real. GFs quality of the backgrounds have never been that great, pic related. Also this looks to be recorded from a phone or some crappy quality device so of course it'll look crap.

Given, I've taken breaks to breed a couple things, etc., but still been working on it a lot. My problem is leveling the stuff to evolve a lot of it. There's nowhere to get good fucking exp in this game.
