I'm that guy who made a workable set for Regice and was working on one for Regirock. I've got good sets for the three bros now, so the Regis themselves aren't terrible, they just need good support to work their niches. They might be overlooked but they aren't bad. Heck, my Regice actually won me a local tournament yesterday!

Regigigas is sadly beyond saving however, literally nothing can make him work when his ability is gimping him beyond all salvation. The only buff that the Royal Giant needs is just removing his ability. A bad or average ability would make him usable, and something good like Sheer Force or Mold Breaker could actually push him into OU or Ubers.

Or just let him have protect or rest ffs come on please game freak.

Regirock is coming along ok. Trying to find time to actually test it but I'm gonna try a rock polish/drain punch/stone-quake combo with weakness policy and Sturdy to surprise people since his HA is released.

Clear Body could also be useful to block intimidate, but due to his low bulk on the special side and multiple weaknesses to common special attacks, Sturdy seems like it'd come in handy more often.

Could also try a tanky rock setter set, and I also really want to do a Defense Curl/Rollout set just because I think it'd be pretty funny.

The only problem with a tanky regirock set is that he lacks any good way to improve his sp.def and is weak to far too much to survive for long. Even Regice can boost his defense with Defense Curl or Curse, while Regirock has nothing to shore up his sp.def.

I'll keep trying though. If I can't make him sweep I'll at least make him a good lead.

I managed to grab a Regice from the questing thing for go. I actively use him out of love since he's my favorite of the trio.

Also have a Regice that I've ribbon mastered, so I think it's fair to say he's my favorite legendary.

To be fair I didn't want to use a guide, I prefer to go in with the pokemon I used during my main run. So I've been trying to make it through using my own team (plus a Regice that managed to get all the contest ribbons) so I can teach the Regice counter, which I thought would be fun.

I can understand that it's got good replayability though. I used to just think ORAS was being lazy by copy-pasting the Battle Maison, but now I get that people are mad at those games because not only did they take a lazy route and C/P the previous game's equivalent of the Battle Tower (down to even using the same trainer sprites from those games, despite them not even being in ORAS otherwise), but they ALSO refused to remaster the Battle Frontier with any of the updated mechanics and quality of life improvements that would have undoubtedly fixed all the issues they had, on top of them teasing everyone about it with the 'the project has started!' board.

Also my insistence on using my in-game team might be part of why it's been difficult since I have to use the strongest pokemon I have or else spend hours grinding up other things I don't have a connection too, and the pokemon that served as the ace of my team was the Wobbufett you get from an egg in Lavaridge that I used to win every single battle in the game by virtue of how darn near unkillable it is. My first match against Lucy took an hour because it was down to her shuckle and my Wobbufett, who was paralyzed, so she couldn't toxic me and I couldn't countercoat her, so I basically had to PP stall her shuckle out and then watch it slowly kill itself from the struggle recoil.
