>>57017469Again, I've never seen any of the bugs you are showing despite having hundreds of hours of playtime. Be honest, did you play on emulator or the 1.0.0 version on a hacked Switch? I don't say that to call you out or own you or anything, I'm genuinely curious why you experienced so many visual glitches when I didn't. Not once I had problems with animations not working.
I definitely get that SV looks worse graphically than SwSh, but I am talking about overall animations and camera work specifically. Look at pic related: the moment is about how Marnie does a fake smile, but the camera doesn't change or zoom to show that to the player, it's completely static. The game does a poor job at showing what was supposed to be a charming moment for her character.
I've never encountered these kind of problems in SV, it worked way more with the camera by choosing more interesting angles, zooming in when important things are shown, using some camera effects like blur or camera shakes etc. I missed this in SwSh, which is one of the reasons why its story falls so flat. With animations like this
>>57017289 it's impossible to take the story seriously.
SV definitely still had a lot of room for improvements for animations, especially outside of cutscenes with 2 or more characters interacting, but it definitely improved some thing that SwSh did wrong in this regard.
