The whole "Megas are a Kalos-only thing that got retconned!" is a massive cope by Z-Move/Dynamax fans that they used as an excuse for why Sinnoh won't have megas. They said the same shit when they were claiming DP HAD to be remade in the Gen 7 engine, and now they're sperging out because LGPE didn't have Z-Moves either and their narrative hinges on Dynamax.
Megas were made specifically for remakes, if you can't see this then you might need to take a step out of the series and look at other games that do this same thing.
