Sure maybe you'll find some wonky strategies in low elo, but those players are bad enough to be stuck in low elo to begin with.
If you're stuck in low elo because you can't get past weird un-meta strategies and decisions then you certainly don't belong in high elo where people have shit figured out more than you do.

I threw it together to try out Weakness Policy Dragonite but it's been working better than I expected in general. I'm laddering with a ~75% win rate with it.
The only change I've made so far was switching out Jolteon for Electivire, but I think I'm going to swap Brick Break on Scizor for Superpower. I'm also considering switching Sacred Sword on Aegislash for King's Shield.
