The writing behind the sign at the Lumiose Station that everyone thought was related to Hoopa/the ghost girl, that tiny little island on the official art map that everyone memed themselves into thinking it was a DLC area, etc.
As barebones as XY was, the lack of datamining for the game generated a lot more discussion than nowadays with kyogre vs. groudon bullshit, since the content is known before the games are even released. Which makes me hope that the Switch games will be harder to hack into and make hype season a lot more interesting.
