>>40004204I know this may be hard to believe, but people kept telling me "yeah right, you say 'fuck this series I quit!' but you'll just come crawling back by next game haha"
Truth is, pokemon DID die for me. Ever since USUM, I felt my hype fall to bottomless depths.
I knew that the next game, whatever it was, DP remake or new gen, it needed to renew my Pokemon game love that was then on life support.
It didn't.
Instead, it officially killed it. I wasn't angry, sad--just disappointed. And after coming to terms with it, I stopped visiting serebii, I stopped checking pokemon news, and I rarely visit /vp/.
I guess there are others like me, but Pokemon did die for me this generation, and I'm not even angry enough to attempt and check back hoping for something good. I haven't bought a Switch nor will I for a game I have zero excitement for.
It was a fun couple decades, I guess I finally got my answer to a question I had as a kid "How old will I be when I quit Pokemon?" I didn't think it'd be at 24, in 2019.
See ya, /vp/.
