>>32981912My theory is that it's the most "tangible" way to ascend someone to godhood. They become a force beyond conventional human control so there's a clear power and ability gap. While not all gods are omniscient or invincible, most depictions are shown to be no bigger than a human give or take some powers. Giants are just really big humans, but their power can be used and abused like a god and trying to appease their better nature for say sex, seems like a challenge of strength and will beyond normal human ability but not to the point of being deterred from the impossible.
I'm sure there are theories much better than mine. Not even into this stuff, the fans are just endearing and some like my favorite Pokegirls.
