I'm sticking to my principals of focusing on 3rd stage Pokemon who are underperforming, I believe things like Sunflora, Lycanroc, or Raichu could all be solved with normal evolutions.
So I'm going with Samurott. Stuck in NU, interesting design with the ability to grow from it.
Let's start by not making it some mediocre mixed attacker, that's only been hurting it.
Attack: 100 -> 150
Defense: 85 -> 95
Special Attack: 108 -> 88
Special Defense: 70 -> 90
Speed: 70 -> 110
Now Samurott will be generally dealing more damage than a Banded equivalent, meaning the mega slot will be worth it for the attack boost alone. It's gotten a solid boost in speed, although it's not quite at the OU cutoff for Megas at 115. Its Special Attack took a hit but let's be honest; Samurott has a shallow and standard movepool for a Water type. Seriously, Water/Ice/HP/Grass Knot for its special pool is hilariously cookie cutter.
Also it's a goddamn samurai. Let's make it actually feel like one.
Typing: Water/Fighting.
Ability: Steelworker.
New moves gained: Close Combat, Iron Head.
Now physical Samurott has some solid coverage and can hit pretty hard. It already had a few solid Fighting moves but now it has a good selection to pick from (Close Combat, Superpower, Sacred Sword.) Between Iron Head and Smart Strike, it's got passable Steel coverage, it has a solid physical Water pool, and it can either use Swords Dance, Knock Off, or Megahorn for its final slot.
