>>40157669>it looks like a pill with arms and legsIt's supposed to have a simplistic shape and look somewhat artificial. Its pre-evo is based on a doll, and Bewear itself is more or less a mascot suit.
>Then there's the shitty color scheme with no thought or effort being put into any part of it.>haha let's make the head pink and use the ms paint fill bucket for the rest lolHave you never seen a red panda before? Same exact distribution of color. The only difference is that Bewear turns the orange into pink in an effort to look more gentle and toy-like. And the joke behind Bewear of course is that all of these pains are taken to make it look cute and cuddly, but in reality it's one of the most deadly Pokemon because it's unaware of its own back-breaking strength and just wants to hug everything.
Bewear's not a design that's immediately accessible or appealing. I think a lot of people (myself included) really hated it when it was first revealed, and the only thing we knew about it was what we were able to infer from that one single piece of artwork. But when you actually see the thing in action, both in the games and the anime, and learn more about what concepts went into its design, you can appreciate it more. Don't just hate on it because it's not literally My Mom's Red Panda Ursaring.
