What if GF's plot division didn't inform their mappers what they were doing until 1 day before the game's release so the poor mappers would spend all day working on the small fixes that the plot requires and then GF's directors would disapprove of the finished map AND the plot, so the map would need more fixes and the plot guys would be confused as to what to do.
