You can tell that they're directly ripped from registered footage of the game (at least for gen 7 mons) by looking at the transparent mons, the blue thing on pheromosa's "hair" is the pokedex background from SM/USUM
They actually have a custom animation project, I think that they're currently testing it with Gardevoir on the main server (yugioh duelist-like animation instead of the gen 6-7 one)
