>>36440352I'm just as old and I don't agree at all. DP is when they started getting unimaginative and far too conservative, just iterating on what was done before (and sometimes just getting them wrong). Except of course for the 3D environments which didn't help the game in any way.
The story specially was in its broad strokes a repeat of Hoenn's with a new coat of thematic paint, something that would be done again and again up until XY.
For me, DPP is when the series fully showed how it was stagnating. I was hyped for it just like I was for every other release but it left me feeling cold.
