Let's just say you fucking hate story in games. At the end of the day, how much gameplay is left in SM once you remove the story? Then what about BW?
Think about the sheer level of exploration BW had, the gameplay, all the new Pokemon to catch, whereas SM is corridor city, very few items to find, very few new pokemon, and many new pokemon are locked behind absurdly low catch rates.
