They don't in Game Freak however and Game Freak will refuse all takeovers, ecause their independence is why they've been ale to make Pokémon persist as long as it has. They have freedom of doing whatever the fuck with their games and IP with the only condition being have it ready in two/three years, depending on what game has been contracted.
