I regret selling all my Pokemon stuff.
I thought I should just "grow up" and get rid of my Pokemon stuff so I sold it years ago, but now I really want to get back into it. For me, the only authentic way to play it is by completing the games physically (handhelds, cartridges and link cables) so I now have to buy those.
What are the best ways to buy all of this without paying an insane amount? I want:
-GBA SP for gens 1-3
-Unknown yet DS for gen 4
-Pokemon Blue, Yellow, Crystal, FireRed or LeafGreen, Platinum and HG or SS. (I know other people with other versions to fill the gaps)
-All games with box and booklet. Second hand is fine, but only slight damage is tolerated.
-Link cables
Do I just have to cope and pay $70-200 per game or are there any smart ways to pay around $50 per game? Remember, I want box and booklet too.
Are these high prices just temporary now that retro gaming is reaching mainstream and might just be a fad before it returns underground? Let me know. I can wait a few months, maybe even a year but not longer probably. Nostalgia is one hell of a drug
