It's a DAMN shame. I used to look forward to having the ability to use any Pokémon I want to on future playthrough of a game, but limiting us to just the regional dex with all games going forward is seriously not okay, and the fact there's enough fans who don't seem to care about this is baffling. I didn't think the fan base would actually defend EVERYTHING that Gamefreak decided to do, but this whole thing made it abundantly clear. What about the people who do nuzlockes? The people with a favorite mon that might not be in a gen at all because it didn't match the region's "aesthetic"? It's been a good run, but I think this is what will make me quit the series for good.
