Older player here so I'm wondering how they got about adding Pokemon in the later generations.
Red and Blue have 150/151 or whatever, then added 100 for Gold/Silver, and 1xx for Ruby/Sapphire. Could you catch all the Pokemon up to that point in Ruby, Sapphire and/or Emerald?
And what about post-Emerald? Do they keep adding more Pokemon or do they eventually substitute the older ones with new ones? (ex. taking out Squirtle completely, thus lowering the total you can actually catch in the game)
Basically I want to know if I play a game like Black and White or X and Y if I can catch them all (or most, excluding 'special'/rare/legendary types) including classic favorites like Ghastly or something.
