>>53731781I really hope it comes out at some point. The demo had some neat Pokemon and I liked the areas, it genuinely feels like a new retail game at times, but I feel like they should look at the new quality of life changes the series brought and also look at Infinite Fusion for some other pointers on visuals and other quality of life changes before they consider finishing it up. Catch EXP and summaries after catching something are basic things I feel everything should have at this point. Especially the stat debuffs and stuff, we really gotta do away with all the text spam or consolidate it since something like Tickle should tell you all the stat drops at once or do a Showdown and show the effects at the top-right to speed things along.
Picking Foliat (Best starter) also introduces the issue of the entire first area being a mess to deal with since at least half the Pokemon are super effective on you. I know you get Absorb very early on to kind of counteract this but it sucks at the same time. The first route Pokemon are also a nightmare to train due to how weak they are paired with Bluffin spamming Tickle, so it's either swap train with your starter or suffer. Capig and Bluffin are a good example where the things take like half their health from anything attacking even with +DEF/SDEF natures. Then you get Hail all throughout the first route on top of that. Not to mention the horrendous encounter rate when running. It's Star Force 2 levels of obnoxious.
The game definitely is one of the ones I feel like has the most effort put into it as a brand new game or fan game and I really appreciate that. Just really hope it doesn't end up abandoned.
