Sadly, my first death of the run happened here, against a Sailor's Machop. Hard Core the Butterfree went down to a Karate Chop Crit.
Darude flattened Blue on it's own with Slash and Dig.
The Surge fight was mostly unthreatening all things considered, but ended up seeming less so as Raichu managed to get a Growl in on Darude before the Dig, which actually let it survive the hit. Then on it's second turn, it got a critical hit Mega Kick and almost left Darude in the red before succumbing to Slash.
