I got through Route 20 with only tepig remaining, it was scary as hell. Decided to ditch the sinnoh starter and go straight for the super rod catch in virbank, landing one of my least favorite pokemon of all time, finneon. And then I got a water-type in the complex anyways. Regardless, Velma did a little damage and took a crit on the switch in before sacrificing herself for the good of the team.
Fortunately there's a lot of places to catch shit before the next gym.
