Apart from the common stuff like equal levels and saving at the pokemon center (or while standing next to gym leaders, because imagening Trainers challenging the gym seeing us and thinking oh fuck a double battle) I also get myself a pic of all pokemon at the start of a new gen.
Then whenever I finish a game I erase them (and their pre-evolutions) and am not allowed to use this pokemon again until the next gen (except for nuzlockes or other challenge runs).
