For context, Ronnie’s the apprentice to the region’s Professor Hornbeam in another town. She was visiting his lab so he wanted to impress her by reviving a bunch of unidentified fossils he found. He ended up breaking them five minutes before she arrived. Panicked, he shoved whatever he could into the machine and hoped for the best. He died inside when his mentor watched a misshapen, lumbering, monstrosity exit the device.
>Ronnie: “ah, um… I can expl-“>Hornbeam: “wow, I’m impressed. I didn’t know you had read Dr. Liss’s work.”>R: “I uh, yea! T-totally.”That’s how Ronnie got his Dracovish, so it’s a happy story.
For the record, Hornbeam knew what happened.
