If you want my personal opinion, they're alright but they're still remakes of my least favourite generation (or they would be if gen 8 hadn't come along). The remakes don't go far enough with correcting the flaws of the originals, and introduce new ones with the gen 4 engine being the biggest problem (slow battles, poor framerate)
