If it was just a flamingo, why not give it a normal beak? Why make it a plague doctor mask?
Coincidentally, the beak shape of flamingos resembles a p.doc mask a lot.
Put the pieces together (Healer, perfume in mask, its smell infatuates/infects people, Spritzee = syringe, looks like p.doctor mask, sinister eyes, region based on France), and it is pretty evident.
