>>50817030The first piece of custom music Rejuv comissioned was actually for Rift Pokemon, Jan's attempt at copying PULSE Pokemon. The lore behind rift Pokemon is that a magic space somehow warps a Pokemon by using its worst memories or fears, and the track is actually a little solemn to reflect it. It's just alright now, but back in the day it was astounded to hear original music.

This is the battle theme of the 'Mysterious Figures', a pair of literal whos who appear to have been orchestrating the entire plot, and are later revealed to be robots who accompanied Madame X in invading this timeline. Their master plans have involved trying to sabotage the league to fuck over potentially strong trainers who can stand against Madame X, and bullying Aelita's father for no discernible reason. It's a pretty good track with a lot of the same mysterious-feeling motif used in the other Xen music.

Their original music is the work of 'Zumi', who killed her own fangame in order to focus entirely on Rejuv. I find it quite sad that it happened, especially when I feel Zumi is much more talented in plenty of ways. If I hear good original music in Rejuv my first instinct is to credit her.
