But some people use one code or hack one Pokemon and the power immediately goes to their head. They skip past every challenge and trivialize the whole game.
I think most of us can handle using PKHeX without going mad with power but some Pokemon fans are fucking wackos and will happily ruin the game for themselves if given the opportunity. They then turn around and blame the hack instead of themselves. Thus the animosity.
IMO if you want a "pure" Pokemon experience you shouldn't be doing any cross-game trading at all. Whether it's a hacked shiny or a legitimate one you're getting a reward without the effort, which ends up cheapening the journey.
