I'm playing through it the first time right now. And yeah, I think it's pretty bad. A lot of them just feel kind of stupid to use and most of them don't look that cool. The fighting types look really stupid and I'm getting tired of seeing Patrats and Lillipups everywhere. I also hate all three starters, especially their final evolved forms.
