I realize Pokemon is one of the most important things in my life, but I just replay gens 1-5 a lot. I guess if you're looking for something completely fresh, play the new games, but they're not as good and even worse if you pay $60 for it.

There is a lot still to love and uncover in these old games. Make new teams, complete the dex, do all the side stuff, etc. It's cozier than playing these new soulless 3D games.

22 years old. Favorite gen is 5, but 1-4 all hold very special places in my heart. Pokemon's arguably the most important media I've consumed in my life. It was my first real meaningful exposure to design, music, etc. Will probably still be playing and thinking about these games until my deathbed.

I replay the games I own constantly. Did a run of Pearl, Gold, and Crystal this year already, currently starting a LeafGreen run.

XY and ORAS left a bad taste in my mouth.
Skipped gen 7, despite being hyped leading up to it and even planning a team.
Gen 8's not looking so great either, but I might get it because like XY, new console Pokemon game will be a fun experience with everyone.

I still like all the designs up to this point, (although the illustrator they're having do gen 8 art fucking sucks).

i thought the space globe wasn't like the other single types ones and doubled the damage of the holders moves only
well i'm slowly doing the other zero isles item grabbing with main team and level 1 hail teams (east and west) with agility gorebyss and cash grabbing from quests right now, keys don't seem to appear neither on zero isles or the regis dungeons, that sucks
luckily i got 2 miracle chests at spinda's so i can just explore until the 25th floor and then look for escape orbs

Last night, I had a dream.

In the dream, it was discovered that the Spaceworld 1997 demo was leaked by an internal colleague at GameFreak with the blessings of the higher-ups. They had seen the positive reactions to the beta Pokémon in the Satoshi Tajiri biography by older fans, and decided to leak it as a way to draw attention away from the backlash regarding the casualness of Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee. However, in the dream, they continued to leak betas and pre-release content each time more information about LGP LGE was released, to help deter the backlash, until eventually they ran out of content to feed to leakers, and began frantically making up "beta" Pokémon.
