A couple of the graphics are shitty, mostly people complain about 5ban (I miss all the clay Pokemon model cards) but some of them are still pretty cool (look up legendary treasures scans, particularly the tepig line is my favorite)
Power creep is real but it's not really all that much about power. This is the best card in the format and it does 30 damage per hit for 2 energy. 180 HP is the norm because basics even back then had like 100 HP (look at Kangaskhan) and these give two prizes. It's technically balanced. A lot of the meta plays on that by giving shitty things for EXes to kill for 1 prize while they kill the EXes for 2 prizes. It's really mostly how the game itself plays rather than anything else. You lose the whole "omg EXes are too good" mentality after a while when you realize how half of them are unplayable garbage anyway.
That Latios is nice looking either way, congrats on the pull.
