After seeing that several people didn't like the art style and others disagreed with that, I decided to state my opinion, and explain why and how people may not like that particular art style so the other anons might understand. Here's an example of what I would call a good attempt at realistic Pokemon. The Banette remains a Banette with nothing changed, but greater detail is applied, thus making it more realistic aesthetically. It's nice and intriguing to look at, and yet the artist didn't change the Pokemon itself i.e. it's still a magic doll, and not some disguised animal like the other artist would have attempted to do. That is how you apply a moderate amount of realism yet maintain the charm that Pokemon have.
Regarding your example, not too keen on the Geodude or Graveler, but the Golem is definitely cool. I like how the artist remembered that Golem's arms need to fit back into it's body so that it can roll seamlessly.
