You really do nail his style. And I'd be intrested in seeing what you can do on your own, when not trying to emulate him, too.
Anyways, this is actually the first time I'm doing real digital painting, Prior to this, all I had done is photomanipulations.
What I really want to figure out is how you do this the smudgy edges around the highlights and shadows, as seen here step 3.
