I don't think it will outsell Smash Bros. Really depends if they announce Gen 9 by the end of this year or early next year.
Smash has the same consistency as Pokemon so it's hard to say if it will outsell it.
Sword and Shield has extremely strong legs as it's been out for nearly two years now and it's been selling 1 million+ every fiscal quarter after it's first one. Most Pokemon games sell 90% of its sales in the first 3-5 months, then it slows down considerably to a few hundred thousand at most every fiscal quarter.
